Fans React to Mary Bonnet’s Very Weird Memoir Announcement

The upcoming release of the third book from the Selling Sunset cast is not generating much excitement from fans.

Writing their own books has become a rite of passage for Selling Sunset stars.

The list of reality TV authors is expanding, from Christine Quinn’s book How To Be A Boss B*tch to Chrishell Stause’s memoir Under Construction.

Therefore, it came as no shock when original cast member Mary Bonnet revealed on May 21 that she plans to publish her memoir Selling Sunshine in September 2024.

Similar to other memoirs, Mary’s will also disclose some information about her upbringing and professional life that is not widely known to the public.

Discussing my past and revealing deeply personal experiences, which I had never previously shared on television or with anyone, was an immensely difficult task. Recalling memories that I had buried for a long time was painful, but it also proved to be a cathartic and restorative journey,”she shared with PEOPLE in an exclusive interview about her new memoir.

Despite being a long-time star of the show, fans are not particularly excited about her latest project.

On the day of her book announcement, fans of Selling Sunset wasted no time in expressing their opinions on Reddit. The general consensus is that the reality TV star does not have their full support.

A fan expressed their opinion, stating, “It’s not like Mary has a dedicated fan base eagerly anticipating this. It’s quite strange.”

“One more fan joined the conversation and commented, “I have never had the desire to know what Mary was pondering. And I don’t think I ever will.”

Despite the backlash, Mary has not yet publicly addressed the issue. The physical copy of Selling Sunshine is still available for pre-order at $30.

It is uncertain if the writing of the book will be included in her Season 8 storyline.
