Fans are attributing the exit of the only remaining star from Season 2 of Surviving Paradise to his co-star.
Just like the structure of Love Island, participants on the show are required to interact and eventually form romantic relationships with one another. Those who remain unmatched are eliminated from the competition. While the initial eliminations did not stir up much discussion among viewers, the most recent departure has caused a frenzy online.
In the ninth episode, Justin Assada, known from the first season of Surviving Paradise, was eliminated from the competition. Not only did he miss out on winning an all-expense paid vacation, but he also did not maintain a romantic relationship before leaving the show.
Despite only joining the season in the fifth episode, he was able to establish a connection with Elys Hutchinson, a former participant of Too Hot To Handle.
Ultimately, she decided to pair up with Bryton Constantin from Squid Game: The Challenge. Outraged by her choice, fans immediately turned to Reddit to hold Elys responsible for Justin’s fate on the show.

A fan expressed, “I have always been on Justin’s team, ever since the beginning. The way Elys treated him at the end was truly awful.”
“A different fan also commented, stating, “Justin poured his heart out to Elys, only to have her break it and choose Bryton, who is only in the house to ‘win’ the show….I genuinely sympathize with Justin.”
A third Redditor noted that they did not sympathize with him because he had dodged a bullet. They believed that the situation would have been much worse if the woman had continued to lead him on.
Despite not having a reunion for the first season of Perfect Match, the current fan backlash and the ongoing drama between Dominique and Bryton have sparked interest in having a segment for Perfect Match Season 2 where all the cast members can dish out on the drama once the season concludes.
