Fans React to the Resemblance Between the New Shinju in Boruto and Gaara’s Son, Shinki

The 13th chapter of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Unfortunately, the chapter was leaked several days prior to its intended release date. Fans can expect this upcoming installment to center around Kashin Koji’s newly revealed abilities, with one particular aspect of his story catching the attention of many readers.

It is clear that the God Trees are preparing to welcome a new addition to their team. Although the manga has not yet disclosed the identity of the Claw Grime’s bite, which formed the Thorn Soul Bulb, fans have speculated that Gaara’s adopted son Shinki may be the inspiration for the new God Tree.

This article includes spoilers from the manga Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex – Why Fans Believe the New Shinju is Based on Shinki

After viewing the leaked images from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13, many fans are convinced that the fifth Shinju is modeled after Shinki due to his physical appearance. Although the character design for Gaara’s adopted son after the time skip has yet to be revealed in the manga series, the Shinju’s appearance does bear a resemblance to the user of Magnet Release.

As viewers may have observed, the creation of a God Tree results in the entity embodying the most dominant characteristic of the individual that the Shinju is modeled after. Prior to the timeskip, Shinki’s most prominent traits were his facial markings and his magnetic coat.

It is clear that the new God Tree will have a similar appearance to the Akatsuki, with a coat and face marks. This suggests that while Gaara’s son may have made some changes to his appearance, his most distinctive characteristics will likely remain the same. Considering this, it is highly likely that the new God Tree is modeled after Shinki, based on its appearance.

One potential reason for the inclusion of the fifth Shinju could be to designate an opponent for Mitsuki. It is notable that each member of Team 7 had a Shinju pursuing them, with the exception of Mitsuki. Therefore, it is possible that the manga is introducing the new God Tree to give Mitsuki the chance to unleash his full power against it, as he had previously clashed with Shinki, Gaara’s son.

It was a pleasant surprise for fans to consider that the God Tree might be inspired by Shinki, as they were aware of his impressive strength. Seeing the God Tree modeled after him would undoubtedly be a thrilling experience.

Despite the majority of fans sharing this sentiment, there were some who disagreed and believed that transforming a new generation shinobi such as Shinki into a God Tree instead of Gaara or Kankuro was unwarranted.

“It’s literally SHINKI. YESSSS WE WON,”one fan said.

“If it was garaa kankuro I understand since they are from the past but shinki come on!,”another fan said.

“If Kishimoto doesn’t mislead us with the upcoming Shinju then we may finally get to see these 2 (Mitsuki and Shinki) fight at full power,”other fan said.

At the same time, some fans were particularly delighted by the fact that Shinki appeared to have been bitten by Claw Grimes. This turn of events would finally give Mitsuki the opportunity to unleash his full strength in a battle against the Shinobi of the Hidden Sand Village.

During their previous encounter, Mitsuki was forced to concede the fight in order to protect his Sage Mode and ensure his parent Orochimaru’s continued residence in the village. However, he was no longer restricted by these complications.
