Thanks to SDCC, Marvel fans now have a better understanding of what to anticipate for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. However, the teasing has left everyone eager for one more thing.
The anticipation for The Fantastic Four: First Steps is high, as it aims to surpass all previous superhero films featuring Marvel’s first family. Boasting a retro-futuristic backdrop and not only one, but two formidable adversaries in the form of the Silver Surfer and Galactus, expectations continue to grow with each passing day.
The San Diego Comic-Con panel successfully generated excitement for the upcoming Marvel movie by providing a sneak peek at early visuals and announcing Michael Giacchino as the composer. While these are promising developments, fans are eagerly awaiting more information, especially after Pedro Pascal’s tease of his costume.
“When asked about his first experience trying on the suit, he told Variety, “It was an incredible experience.”He continued, reflecting on the feeling of looking into a mirror and seeing himself in the iconic suit. He described it as a surreal and indescribable moment that marked the beginning of his journey.

Both the 2005 and 2015 versions of the Fantastic Four received the X-Men treatment, resulting in the team of superheroes trading in their bright blue comic-book suits for tighter, darker versions of their costumes.
Despite the ’60s aesthetic and nod to retro designs, it appears that the new movie will embrace a more traditional appearance. Marvel’s accompanying art release suggests that fans can anticipate vintage costumes inspired by the comics.
This, in addition to Pascal’s teasing, has caused numerous Marvel fans to eagerly anticipate their first glimpse of the costumes in person.
“One X/Twitter user wrote, ‘I am aware that he took a selfie in that costume and I must see it immediately.’”
Another person requested, “Can we please see him in costume?”
Another person insisted: “WHERE IS THE FOOTAGE.”
“One comment expressed their excitement to see the beautiful blue suits.”
No one will be able to see those signature suits on the big screen for quite some time. The release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps is scheduled for July 25, 2025.
