Farmagia Greenlights Anime Adaptation Before RPG Release

Farmagia Greenlights Anime Adaptation Before RPG Release

On Thursday, June 20, 2024, Marvelous Europe revealed an extended trailer for their monster-farming/action game Farmagia and announced the production of an anime project. However, the trailer for the game and comments from Marvelous Europe did not provide any further details about the anime project.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that an anime adaptation of the Farmagia game is in the works, considering that the game’s art and character designs are created by Hiro Mashima, the renowned author and illustrator of the popular Fairy Tail manga. Despite being a subject of debate among fans, Mashima’s manga-turned-anime series has achieved immense commercial success in both mediums, making it one of the most successful of all time.

Farmagia Game Confirms Anime Adaptation, But Offers No Additional Info

It is highly probable that the anime adaptation of the Farmagia game will reveal new details in the upcoming weeks and months, as the game is slated for release on Friday, November 1, 2024 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC via Steam. Players will have the option to purchase the game in physical or digital format.

The Farmagia game takes place in the “underworld nation of Felicidad,”where the Oración Seis generals govern over the six continents under the rule of the Magus. The story of the game begins with the passing of the previous Magus, who is succeeded by a new Magus with the goal of establishing a ruling class through a process of elimination.

As the game’s title suggests, players will assume the role of Ten, a monster farmer. Through cultivating the farm, players will have the opportunity to raise and command monsters in order to defeat enemies and liberate Felicidad from the tyrannical rule of Magus. By training and combining monsters, players can unlock formidable new forms. The game was initially announced as “Project Magia”in May 2023.

Kohei Amasaki has been announced as the voice of Ten, with Ayane Sakura voicing her childhood friend Arche and Inori Minase taking on the role of another childhood friend, Chica. Atsumi Tanezaki has been confirmed to voice the game’s mascot, Lookie-Loo. Additionally, Sakura and Minase have been chosen to perform the game’s theme song “dis-dystopia,”while the trailer also features a preview of “Life is Beautiful,”the theme song for the upcoming anime project, performed by Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

In August 2006, Mashima’s highly acclaimed Fairy Tail manga series was first published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The series continued to be regularly published there until its final chapter in July 2017. The 545 chapters of the series were then compiled into 63 volumes, all of which have been translated into English.

Mashima is the mangaka responsible for Edens Zero, which first appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in June 2018. However, as of the writing of this article on June 26, 2024, the series is expected to conclude with its next release.
