FaZe Banks agrees to Call of Duty sniping 1v1 with Nadeshot after FaZe Clan reboot

The Call of Duty community is divided over who would win in a 1v1 between FaZe Clan CEO Richard ‘Banks’ Bergstrom and 100 Thieves founder and CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag. Both have agreed to face each other, causing excitement among fans of the old-school game.

In late April, Banks finally revealed the much-anticipated “reboot”of FaZe Clan, reducing the number of creators to 14 and releasing several old and new members from the organization.

Four new members have been announced since then, with the intention of better aligning with the future of FaZe Clan.

Despite FaZe and Banks being in the spotlight, during a discussion on the CouRage & Nadeshot show, Nadeshot issued a challenge to the former expert sniper: a 1v1 match on the map Rust.

It didn’t take Banks much time to reply, as he promptly outlined his desired rules for the 1v1: only allowed to use Intervention, radar must be on, and the first player to reach 20 kills wins.

He jokingly teased Nade, commenting that the former professional player “won’t even reach double digits.”

Despite initially seeming like a lighthearted interaction with no serious consequences, Banks ultimately shared a screenshot of a FaceTime conversation involving himself, Nadeshot, and OpTic Gaming CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez.

He confirmed that the Founding Fathers MW2 LAN tournament is officially in the works.

Although it may seem natural to assume that a former OpTic Gaming professional and multiple-time MLG champion would easily win, it is uncertain if the 1v1, which is limited to Intervention-only on Rust, guarantees victory.

Despite many comments on multiple posts supporting Nadeshot and considering him to be the likely victor, it must be noted that Banks has a strong history in sniping and the Intervention 1v1 may be his favored game mode.

Former FaZe Clan member and renowned Call of Duty sniper, Spratt, expressed his opinion on the upcoming competition between Nadeshot and Banks. While many may choose to side with Nadeshot due to his extensive experience in competing and dedication to the game, Spratt believes that Banks, with his background in competitive sniping, will ultimately come out on top. According to Spratt, the skills acquired in competitive sniping are ingrained and never truly fade, making it a close call but ultimately giving the victory to Banks.

Despite the criticism in the replies, Banks remained supremely confident and stated, “The disrespect is unbelievable. I have spent 100 days of my life sitting in a chair on rust with the radar on. If you are willing to bet, put your entire life’s savings on this kid. This is a guaranteed money glitch.”

Currently, there are no specific plans or set dates, but it appears that something is being developed. There is even the possibility of a complete classic Modern Warfare 2 LAN event if the discussions between Banks, Nadeshot, and H3CZ are successful.
