FaZe Clan adds another Twitch powerhouse as org rebuilds

FaZe Clan has recently welcomed a new member, ‘Jason Ween’, to its team as part of the organization’s controversial “reboot”strategy.

On April 30, 2024, FaZe Clan announced the addition of another member to its constantly expanding team of content creators – Jason Ween, a popular Twitch streamer with a following of over 270,000.

Jason, a popular Vietnamese variety streamer, maintains a YouTube channel with a strong following of 520K subscribers. His humor is a trademark, and he frequently jokes about his “girl obsession”while engaging in playful banter with other prominent broadcasters during Valorant gameplay.

FaZe revealed their most recent member through a humorous skit, in which Jason was summoned to the Dean’s office at a fictional university for his misbehavior. However, he was saved by his father, portrayed by FaZe Banks, founder of the organization.

This recent news from FaZe was received with joy by other streamers such as StableRonaldo and YourRage, who expressed their excitement for their new teammate through enthusiastic posts on social media.

This new addition to FaZe’s roster comes amidst a rebranding effort by the organization, which was prompted by Banks’ decision to lay off numerous employees and remove a significant number of long-term content creators. The “reboot”was met with discontent from many members, resulting in only fourteen remaining after the restructure.

After years of being with the organization, popular Warzone streamer Kalei was devastated upon discovering that she had been kicked out, describing the situation as “unfair”and leaving her in tears. Fellow streamer Nate Hill also shared his disappointment with FaZe’s decision to let him go.

The addition of Jason Ween to FaZe Clan coincides with the recent announcements of FaZe Max and SilkySzn, with one more member yet to be announced in the upcoming days, bringing their total to four members.

According to a leaker, part of FaZe’s current “reboot”plan involves establishing a content house with its recent additions. However, the accuracy of this information has yet to be confirmed.
