FaZe Clan Experiences Swatting Incident During Twitch Subathon Amidst False Double Murder Claims

Members of FaZe Clan recently fell victim to a shocking swatting incident during a Twitch subathon on September 19, as 911 received a deceptive report of a double murder at the FaZe house.

The subathon was abruptly disrupted by emergency services responding to the alarming call. Sirens echoed nearby as local authorities used a megaphone to instruct everyone inside the FaZe house to exit with their hands raised.

Members of the recently reorganized content group, along with their friends, complied with the orders, while bystanders recorded the unfolding events from outside the residence. The individuals present were then searched at gunpoint as police evaluated the situation.

As reported by TMZ, the 911 call originated from an individual claiming to be 60 years old, who falsely alleged that they had killed their mother and brother, mentioning that one person was still alive inside the property.

Authorities took the emergency call seriously, arriving at the scene promptly, but soon determined that there was no immediate threat.

“We got swatted,” was the collective response of the subathon stream participants moments before Twitch muted the streams and cameras were turned away.

Despite the gravity of the situation, most of the FaZe Clan members appeared unfazed as they returned to their 30-day subathon event, having deleted video on demand (VOD) content to circumvent potential bans on the platform.

Following the incident, the crew lightheartedly took to social media, sharing memes about the experience shortly thereafter.

“Since when is being dumb a crime?” the official FaZe Clan account on X (formerly known as Twitter) tweeted, accompanied by a photo of Adapt undergoing a search with a shotgun pointed at him.

Swatting has become a disturbing trend over the years, with malicious viewers making false calls to law enforcement targeting prominent internet figures. This has resulted in a range of incidents, from social media influencers being handcuffed to GTA voice actors experiencing similar threats.
