In his mission to take over FaZe Clan, FaZe Banks has initiated the removal of longstanding members and reduced the number of creators to 14.
On April 27th, members of FaZe Clan used YouTube videos and Twitter/X platforms to announce that they were being “forced out”of the organization. Most of these content creators had been with the clan for many years, with some joining since its establishment.
As an increasing number of content creators began to announce their departure from FaZe Clan, Banks took to Twitter/X to address the situation and offer clarification. In particular, he addressed the departure of FaZe Blaze, who had been a member of the clan for nearly ten years.
“According to Banks, an issue that FaZe has faced is the lack of alignment in vision, values, content, and career direction among its members. He emphasized the importance of clearly defining and representing the brand in a way that aligns with FaZe’s standards.”
Banks provides further explanation for his choice to downsize FaZe Clan in his complete statement, which can be accessed at https://x.com/Banks/status/1784261074906435636.
Despite the chaos, Banks took the initiative to make the first post to the official FaZe Clan Twitter/X account since March 4. The post featured a new digitized FaZe Clan logo and a brief clip symbolizing the organization’s act of removing old members, as seen in the tweet here.
Banks announced that FaZe Clan had reduced its large number of content creators. Shortly after sharing the video on the official account, Banks disclosed the 14 members who would make up the organization’s remaining members.
Banks declared that the roster would consist of Adapt, Apex, Banks, Jev, Kaysan, Nick Mercs, Replays, Ronaldo, Rug, Scope, Swaff, Temperrr, and Your Rage, while everyone else was being let go.
With the acquisition of the company by GameSquare, the original members of the organization took over, marking the beginning of a new era for FaZe Clan. However, the future of FaZe Clan remains uncertain as Banks has yet to reveal any plans following the departure of its creators.
