FaZe Zooma Unveils $100,000 Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Tournament with Pro Gamers

To commemorate the release of Black Ops 6 and the new Call of Duty League (CDL) season, FaZe Zooma has unveiled a tournament series with a staggering prize pool of $100,000, showcasing CDL professional players.

The start of the 2025 CDL season is approaching rapidly, and the rosters are starting to take shape following a thrilling Rostermania. Notably, Scrappy and Envoy have exited Toronto, while HyDra has moved from Cloud 9 to join forces with Ghosty at the LA Thieves, forming a formidable superteam.

On the other hand, both OpTic Texas and Atlanta FaZe have opted to retain their lineups after successful previous seasons. The teams from Minnesota, New York, and Vancouver are yet to finalize their rosters, but the CDL is teeming with exciting talent beyond just the anticipated top three teams.

In the upcoming tournament hosted by FaZe Zooma, professional players will not be competing with their complete new squads. Instead, they will team up with their AR or SMG partners to battle it out.

This $100,000 tournament will consist of three separate events, each offering a $25,000 prize. The competition will feature 12 teams, each composed of four players, with duos formed from CDL’s AR and SMG ranks. An example includes the “Tiny Terrors,”where the SMG team of Simp and aBeZy will partner with an AR duo from a different squad.

All matches are set to be streamed live on Zooma’s Twitch channel.

Here’s the complete tournament schedule:

  • October 29: 12 p.m. PST, 3 p.m. EST
  • November 1: 12 pm PST, 3 pm EST
  • November 5-6: 10 am PST, 1 pm EST

Team selections will take place on Zooma’s Twitch channel at 6 p.m. PST, 9 p.m. EST. However, details on the maps and weapon sets that will be used are still undisclosed.

This season, some Black Ops 6 professionals, such as Dashy and Shotzzy, have expressed concerns about finding optimal strategies, pointing to the current map pool as “dogs**t.” Despite this, maps like Vault, Pyback, Vorkuta, and Skyline are being considered as potential battlegrounds.

Initial discussions suggest that weapons like the Model L, GPR 91, PP-919, and Jackal PDW might become early favorites in this competitive landscape.
