On June 24th, a multitude of comments from female members of the community inundated Zico’s Instagram posts.
The remarks made were “Golden phone,””Did you have fun with the golden phone?,””Kindly clarify the golden phone,”and “Jung Joon-young’s closest companion.”
After the June 22nd airing of SBS’s “Unanswered Questions” , a composite sketch of the suspect who stole the safe from the late singer Goo Hara’s home in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul was revealed.
Upon re-examination of the “Burning Sun scandal,”Zico’s name has once again come to the forefront due to his previous remarks. During his appearance on MBC’s “Radio Star”in 2016, Zico had referred to Jung Joon-young’s phone as the “golden phone.”
Zico revealed that during that time, Jung Joon-young had a special phone that he referred to as his ‘golden phone’. Although it was not his primary phone, it was solely used for urgent situations and exchanging messages. This phone contained numerous contacts, similar to a Pokémon Pokédex.
Upon being asked, Jung Joon-young stated, “Zico would come by and search for the ‘golden phone’, reading it as if it were his own.”
During the Jung Joon-young illegal filming scandal, this statement garnered renewed interest, causing netizens to speculate about the content that Zico may have witnessed on the infamous “golden phone.”
Despite Zico’s clarification that he had no involvement in the unsavory incident, some female community members are still labeling him as the “Goo Hara safe thief”and sending him malicious comments. He explained that all he saw was a list of contacts and that he had not been in touch with the person in question for a long time.
Zico restated his position, asserting that he will firmly address any harmful remarks and dissemination of inaccurate facts.
