Based on Trophy data, fewer than 100 players earned the Concord Platinum Trophy before Sony shut down the failed game’s servers.
Firewalk’s hero shooter Concord broke records for adverse reasons, as it was taken offline just 10 days after launching on PC and PS5.
Sony and Firewalk provided advance notice to Concord’s limited user base, allowing players three days to maximize their experience before the permanent server shutdown.
Some players embraced the challenge of earning the elusive Platinum Trophy, which has become one of the rarest. In their Trophy-hunting attempts, many players resorted to intentionally losing matches by jumping off cliffs to end rounds quickly.
However, the data indicates that not all players could achieve this milestone. According to PSN Profiles, only 70 individuals earned the Platinum Trophy – Living Legend – before the game was deleted.
Concord Trophy data on PSN Profiles
It’s important to note that PSN Profiles only tracks the progress of users who link their PSN accounts. Since only a small segment of the PlayStation audience utilizes this site, the reported numbers could be affected.
Nonetheless, it is reasonable to assume around 100 players went through the effort to secure the Trophy, which has a rarity of 4.42 percent on PSN Profiles. Whether these figures will change in the future remains uncertain. Firewalk has mentioned exploring new options for Concord, but its return is not guaranteed.
Sony has not disclosed any sales figures for the game, but industry analysts estimate that Concord sold approximately 25,000 copies overall.
Poor beta feedback, average review scores, and unappealing character designs significantly hindered the multiplayer shooter’s reception.
Sony’s efforts to establish a strong presence in the live-service sector are ongoing. The publisher acquired Haven Studios in 2022, likely after recognizing potential in the developer’s upcoming project, Fairgames, a competitive heist game set for PC and PS5.
