New Story
A fresh chapter in the story is arriving in Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail.
We are set to enjoy a new narrative arc that directly follows the events of Dawntrail’s main scenario, offering more interactions with beloved characters such as Gulool Ja, Krile, and Graha’Tia.
While it’s challenging to forecast the exact trajectory of the story, the open-ended conclusion of Dawntrail leaves a plethora of opportunities for the developers to explore.
Allied Society: Pelupelo
The Pelupelu will serve as the inaugural allied society for combat classes in Dawntrail.
The developers have unveiled the first allied society in Dawntrail. The Pelupelu will focus on combat jobs, presenting an excellent opportunity to elevate your alternate jobs while also boosting your reputation with them. Rewards include exclusive cosmetics like emotes, mounts, and more.
Custom Deliveries: Nitowikwe
Nitowikwe is the first NPC to offer custom deliveries in Dawntrail.
Although there hasn’t been a dedicated crafter or gathering allied society introduced yet, the first NPC announced for custom deliveries is Nitowikwe, a female Hrothgar. Players can approach her for requests and receive various rewards, including Orange Scrips and more.
Additional Role Quests
For players who have completed the main role quests in Dawntrail, new quests are available.
For those who enjoyed the 7.0 role quests, additional role quests will be introduced in patch 7.1. Players must have completed all previous role quests to unlock the new ones.
Additional Wachumeqimeqi Quests
New quests will be added for Wachumeqimeqi deliveries in patch 7.1.
Gatherers and crafters can look forward to more Wachumeqimeqi delivery quests in Tulliyollal. Players will likely need to complete the previous quests in the chain before accessing these new ones, as they are intended to conclude the zone’s storyline.
Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures
What further escapades await Hildibrand? It’s inconceivable!
The Hildibrand questline continues in Dawntrail, promising to be even more outrageous than before. This comedic side story is often linked to relics from Endwalker, but it seems players can dive into it without any prior tie-in this time.
New Game Support for 7.0
New Game Plus Support arrives in patch 7.1.
Players wishing to revisit the Dawntrail MSQ can do so in patch 7.1. Initially introduced in Dawntrail, the duty support feature will expand with more support for non-MSQ dungeons in patch 7.1.
Hall of the Novice Revamp
Get ready for major changes to the Hall of the Novice.
The Hall of the Novice, a beginner-friendly system, will undergo significant changes in patch 7.1. Training will now focus on specific mechanics such as stacks, spreads, and tank busters, paving the way for new players to grasp the game better. This will be available upon reaching level 49.
PvP Updates

The first alliance raid for Dawntrail has been introduced as Jeuno: The First Walk. This raid draws inspiration from FFXI, so players familiar with that game will recognize the environments and visuals.
New Trial: The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden
Sphene will return in an extreme difficulty trial in patch 7.1.
In a tradition typical of patch updates, the third extreme trial for Dawntrail will be released in patch 7.1, featuring Sphene’s Burden. This extreme version promises to be a more challenging iteration of the usual battle and will drop exclusive rewards like mounts, weapons, or accessories.
New Unreal Trial: The Jade Stoa (Unreal)
Byakko becomes the first Stormblood trial introduced as an unreal in Dawntrail.
In a continuation of the unreal tradition from Endwalker, Stormblood trials are now being adapted as unreals in Dawntrail. This trial will closely resemble an extreme version but modified for players at level 100. Engaging in unreal trials will earn players Faux Hollow points to redeem for various reward cosmetics.
New Chaotic Alliance Raid
The Chaotic Alliance Raid introduces a new 24-man extreme difficulty challenge.
The Chaotic Alliance raid presents an unprecedented type of content in Dawntrail. This 24-man raid, akin to Alliance Raids, will be significantly more challenging, equatable to extreme raids, although featuring three alliances of eight players.
New Ultimate: Future’s Rewritten Ultimate
Future’s Rewritten will feature both Fatebreaker and The Oracle of Darkness as formidable foes.
The next ultimate trial, Future’s Rewritten, will debut in Patch 7.1. This ultimate encounter will present players with an arduous gauntlet against bosses that provide alternative narratives concerning the ongoing expansion. The encounters will highlight themes from the Eden raid series in Shadowbringers, featuring noted bosses including Fatebreaker and The Oracle of Darkness.
Doman Mahjong Updates
Doman Mahjong, the Golden Saucer game, surprisingly receives an update.
One of the unexpected highlights of patch 7.1 is the update to Doman Mahjong. This enhancement will incorporate voiced reactions and commentary from the Scions, potentially enticing more players to participate and engage in friendly Mahjong matches.
