The 83rd live letter unveiled exciting new features coming to Final Fantasy XIV, including a fresh story, a new ultimate battle, an allied society, and much more. However, one of the most anticipated announcements for players focused on the enhancements for in-game housing.
With patch 7.1, players will gain the ability to modify their house’s interior design, irrespective of its location. You will be able to select styles from various residential areas, regardless of where your plot is situated.
This means you could reside in the Foundation of Ishgard but choose Shirogane’s aesthetic for the interior of your home. Furthermore, additional interior housing designs will also be introduced, allowing for even greater creative freedom.
The developers have also indicated that in the future, players will have the option to choose the internal size of their home, enabling small exteriors with expansive interiors. While this will come at a cost in Gil, it will make a significant difference, particularly on servers where housing is in high demand.
