The highly anticipated crossover between Yokai Watch and Final Fantasy XIV is making a comeback. Fans can expect an epic event with the latest details, including the start date, being revealed.
The Yokai Watch event is making a return in Endwalker for Final Fantasy XIV. This crossover event offers various rewards, including minions, mounts, and weapons, for those who participate and complete the event.

FFXIV Yokai Watch Event Start Date
The Yokai Watch event will commence on April 24, 2024 and continue until the release of Dawntrail, which is expected to be on July 4, 2024. This allows players approximately 3 months to acquire all necessary rewards before the event concludes for the next expansion.
FFXIV Yokai Watch Event Quest Starting Location
To initiate the Yokai Watch event, players must have finished the corresponding story quest that allows them to leave their starting city. Additionally, they must be at least level 15 before embarking on the quest line.
After that, players can go to Ul’dah and talk to the Poor-heeled Youth located at X:9.2, Y:9.1 to acquire the Yo-kai Watch and Yo-kai Medallium. These items allow you to collect Yo-kai Medals.

Collecting Medals
To acquire Yo-kai medals, players must take part in FATEs in ARR, Heavensward, and Stormblood areas. Doing so will grant medals if a Silver or higher ranking is achieved.
Collecting Minions
To successfully participate in the Yo-kai Watch event, it is necessary to gather Minions. These can be obtained by conversing with the Wandering Executive located at the Gold Saucer (X:5.2, Y:6.9). This NPC will acquaint you with Yo-kai that can be added to your collection as minions, as long as you possess sufficient Yo-kai medals.
Minions in FATEs
Next, you can utilize the Yo-kai minions in FATEs to collect Legendary Yo-kai Medals, which can be exchanged for Yo-kai themed weapons that are available for all classes except for Sage and Reaper.
Rewards for the Yo-kai Watch Event in FFXIV
In addition to the minions and weapons, there is also an NPC in the Golden Saucer where you can buy a Framer’s Kit for the event.
In order to obtain all of the themed weapons, players must collect a sufficient amount of minions during the Yo-kai watch event. This will also grant them access to a variety of mounts, with the last mount being the ultimate reward.
