Fifty Fifty Trio Seeks Comeback While Keeping Lawsuit Confidential

The members successfully requested restrictions on access to court records concerning the lawsuit. Attrakt had filed a lawsuit for 13 billion won against them for damages, alleging contract violations by the members.

This legal dispute originated in June 2023 when Fifty Fifty rose to international fame with their hit song “Cupid.” Following their success, the group sought an injunction to suspend their exclusive contracts with Attrakt, citing contract violations, health issues, and financial mismanagement. Attrakt retaliated by alleging that external parties were trying to poach the members, filing lawsuits against producer Ahn Sung-il and others involved.

FIFTY FIFTY Saena, Aran, Sio

Despite several attempts by Attrakt’s CEO to reconcile, the group stayed silent for months until they eventually expressed their concerns in a handwritten letter. In this letter, they apologized to fans and indicated their desire to rectify the wrongs they felt were imposed on them by Attrakt. They also communicated their intention to continue legal action to uncover the truth behind their exit from the agency.

The members encountered substantial public backlash, being labeled “traitors” after they lost their lawsuit aimed at nullifying their contracts. The court ruled in favor of Attrakt, stating that there were no violations of the contract terms. Even after appealing, the group faced further legal defeats. Saena, Sio, and Aran remain dedicated to pursuing additional legal avenues to resolve outstanding issues related to their financial settlements and the actions of Attrakt’s CEO.

As they prepare for a comeback with MASSIVE E&C, the members are taking precautions to keep their ongoing legal struggles private, indicating a preference to move forward without added public scrutiny.
