According to new findings from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Ultimania, it has been revealed that the Gold Saucer date can be easily obtained with a character other than Tifa or Aerith.
Barret Wallace, one of the characters in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, is surprisingly easier to date compared to the other characters.
Last week, information from the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Ultimania book was revealed in Japan. Ever since, translations of new details from the book have been circulating on social media.
The source of this information is aitaikimochi, a Twitter user who explains the various opportunities players have to increase their Affinity with each potential Gold Saucer date option. According to aitaikimochi, Barret has the greatest potential for Affinity based on dialogue, side quests, mini games, and battle mechanics.
Out of the five available Gold Saucer dates, Barret has the most opportunities to increase Affinity with a total of 26 chances. Yuffie and Red XIII come in second with 24 chances each. Aerith and Tifa, beloved by fans, have slightly fewer chances with 23 total.
Despite the emphasis on Aerith and Tifa as potential love interests for Cloud over the past 25 years, it may come as a surprise that Barret is actually the easiest character to date. In fact, one fan jokingly suggested that Barret has been the true love interest all along.
Please note that these numbers do not take into consideration the precise number of points you can accrue during these events. This is dependent on your chosen dialogue options and progression in the game.
Nevertheless, the added number of chances to develop a closer relationship with the passionate gun-armed man definitely improves your chances of getting to know him better.
