On Monday, September 16, 2024, the Aniplex Online Fest 2024 live event officially confirmed the production of the May I Ask for One Final Thing? anime, showcasing a promotional video and key visual. The anime is slated to premiere in 2025, although a specific release date has not yet been announced.
This upcoming anime is produced by LIDENFILMS and is based on the light novel series by Nana Otori (author) and Satsuki (illustrator). In addition to the anime, there is also a manga adaptation illustrated by Sora Hoonoki.

The promotional video and key visual released during the Aniplex Online Fest 2024 event confirm that the May I Ask for One Final Thing? anime based on Nana Otori’s light novels will premiere in 2025. However, more precise release details are yet to be provided.
Additionally, it was announced that Crunchyroll will stream the anime in regions including North America, South America, Central America, Oceania, Africa, the Middle East, and CIS. The trailer features the main character, Scarlet El Vandimion, clad in a stunning scarlet gown.
Along with the trailer, the official staff revealed a key visual of Scarlet, who is depicted in her elegant scarlet attire, adorned with traces of blood on her cheeks. Following the announcement at the Aniplex Online Fest 2024, the staff launched a new website and X account to engage with fans and share the promotional content.
The primary cast and production team have also been disclosed. Asami Seto voices the “villainess,”Scarlet El Vandimion. The teaser trailer offers a glimpse into Scarlet’s character voice as she expresses her anger over a broken engagement and falsehoods directed at her.
LIDENFILMS is responsible for the production of the May I Ask for One Final Thing? anime. Kazuya Sakamoto is directing, with Deko Akao supervising the script. Eriko Haga is in charge of character design, while Hinako Tsubakiyama is composing the music. Satoshi Motoyama serves as the sound director.
Synopsis of the May I Ask for One Final Thing? anime
Based on the light novel series, the May I Ask for One Final Thing? anime follows Scarlet El Vandimion, whose engagement to Kyle, the second prince, is abruptly severed during a ball. Following this, other nobles and aristocrats unjustly label her as a bully, branding her a “villainess.”
Scarlet, who has endured years of abuse and humiliation, reaches her breaking point and decides to take matters into her own hands against Kyle and the nobles. The story unfolds as a revenge fantasy centered around an elegant yet defiant young woman who refuses to be exploited.
