First Look at Drum Island in One Piece Live-Action Season 2 Unveiled

<p>Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 is currently in production, and fans have just received the first live-action teaser of Drum Island, a crucial location in the series.

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece is inspired by the beloved manga by Eiichiro Oda, which chronicles the adventures of young pirate Monkey D. Luffy, who aspires to become the Pirate King and discover the legendary treasure.

In One Piece Season 2, Luffy’s journey continues as he ventures into the Grand Line in pursuit of the fabled treasure. Oda is once again involved in the project as the Executive Producer.

The initial look at Drum Island was unveiled during Netflix’s Geeked Week event. This site is where the Straw Hat Pirates first encounter Chopper, a reindeer gifted with the powers of the Human-Human Fruit and the crew’s doctor. However, opinions within the community are split regarding the island’s appearance; while some fans are impressed, others have expressed dissatisfaction with the CGI quality.

“This looks great. I’m excited,” commented one enthusiast.

“Reverse mountain, whiskey peak, little garden, and drum are all gonna go hard,” noted another follower.

Another fan remarked, “If it was an anime background sure, but this is live action, the overreliance on sh*t CGI is massive.”

In August, Oda provided significant news regarding Season 2, confirming that it will encompass Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. Notably, the exclusion of the Arabasta Arc indicates that fewer chapters will be adapted than initially anticipated.

On the positive side, this means a more measured pacing. The Arabasta saga represents the second chapter of the narrative, while the first season included all the East Blue arcs, save for Loguetown.
