The highly anticipated “Squid Game”has officially announced its Season 2 premiere date of December 26, 2024. Additionally, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the final season, “Squid Game”Season 3, which is set to arrive in 2025 and has generated even more excitement among global audiences.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk recently expressed his heartfelt thoughts about the possibility of presenting Seasons 2 and 3 of “Squid Game”in a letter.
The complete letter reads as follows:
The true competition commences.
It has been nearly three years since the first season received an overwhelming amount of love and brought about some incredible events. I am thrilled and full of anticipation as I share with you the release schedule for Season 2 and the announcement of Season 3’s production.
On the first day of shooting for Season 2, I recall feeling a sense of disbelief as I thought, ‘I’m back in the world of Squid Game, filming it once again.’ I am curious about your experience of returning to the world of Squid Game after three years.
Seong Gi-hun, who vowed to seek revenge at the end of Season 1, makes a comeback and joins the game once more. Will he be able to fulfill his promise of revenge? The Front Man, who stands in his way, appears to be a formidable opponent. The intense showdown between them will continue in the highly anticipated Season 3, set to release next year. I am thrilled to see the ideas that were sparked during the planning of Squid Game’s new journey come to life in the continuation of the story through Season 3 and its ultimate conclusion.
I will put forth my utmost effort in completing the remaining work in order to meet you in a spectacular manner.
Please remain patient while feeling excited.
Thank you for always being there. I look forward to seeing all of you soon.
As the release date for the new season is announced, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the popular series. The first still of Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) has been unveiled, adding to the anticipation. In contrast to his appearance in the previous season’s finale, where he boarded a plane to the U.S., Gi-hun is now portrayed with shorter black hair and sporting a green tracksuit with the number 456, indicating his involvement in the deadly game once again. The reasons behind his return and the unfolding of new storylines in the “Squid Game”are intriguing and only add to the excitement surrounding the upcoming season.
The world was stunned by the fresh concept and gripping storyline of “Squid Game”, which includes the return of beloved actors Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, and Gong Yoo, as well as new additions Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-wook, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-shim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun (T.O.P), Noh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an. This talented ensemble will once again captivate audiences when “Squid Game”Season 2 premieres exclusively on Netflix on December 26,
