First look at Liam Hemsworth in The Witcher Season 4 gets surprising reaction

Photos of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia for The Witcher Season 4 have surfaced on the internet, and to the surprise of many, they have been met with a highly positive response from fans.

Redanian Intelligence revealed exclusive images of Hemsworth portraying the renowned monster slayer. Despite concerns from some fans about Henry Cavill’s departure from the show, many were convinced that the new actor would not live up to expectations and that the Netflix series would fail.

Despite initial concerns, the recent release of photos has been met with overwhelming positivity from fans, who are eagerly anticipating the direction of The Witcher Season 4.

One fan on X/Twitter remarked that despite the likelihood of these being someone’s amateur drone photos, the actor actually looks quite fitting for the role of Geralt. However, there is sympathy for him stepping into a challenging position following Henry’s exit. The hope is that he will excel in the role.

One person expressed, “I am a big fan of Cavill, but Geralt is my favorite character and I will support whoever portrays him. Liam looks fitting for the role and I have no doubt he will do an amazing job. Blaming him for the casting decision is unfair. I am glad that the show is continuing, as they could have just cancelled it.”

Some were happily taken aback by Hemsworth’s appearance, with one person expressing on Twitter, “He looks surprisingly good, I wasn’t anticipating that.”

It was also suggested by another fan that Hemsworth would have been a suitable choice for the character from the beginning. However, they acknowledged that Henry was ultimately the perfect fit for the role.

There are even those who believe that he better aligns with the descriptions in the books, as Andrzej Sapkowski portrays Geralt as being more slender.

Another person added their opinion, stating on Twitter that, “He looks fine. In the books, Geralt isn’t described as being very muscular, so I always felt that Cavill was too buff and conventionally attractive for the role. Not that I didn’t like him or anything.”
