Fitness TikToker Missing from Walmart Found Dead, Suspect Arrested

The remains of fitness influencer Minelys Zoe Rodriguez-Ramirez were found by law enforcement after the TikTok star went missing close to a Walmart on October 22, 2024.

At just 25 years old, Rodriguez-Ramirez, who had built a follower base of 26,000 on TikTok with the username ‘minelys.zo.ramrez,’ was discovered deceased by authorities a week after her fiancé and mother filed a missing persons report.

On Monday, October 28, 24-year-old Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanches was taken into custody and charged with kidnapping in connection to the disappearance of the influencer.

According to her fiancé, Rodriguez-Ramirez was last seen at a Walmart in Cornelia, Georgia, on October 22, where she had gone to deliver a photograph to someone.

Later that evening, around 9:30 PM, she texted her fiancé, stating, “I am waiting for the brother to pick him up.”

Her fiancé found the message suspicious, saying, “It didn’t add up. That’s not how she speaks,” as he expressed in a statement to Habersham News.

After Rodriguez-Ramirez failed to return home the next day, her fiancé contacted her mother, and together they informed the authorities about her disappearance.

Police later located Rodriguez-Ramirez’s body on Furniture Drive, a roadway adjacent to the Walmart where she was last seen. The remains have been sent for autopsy at the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office.

Witnesses reported seeing a gold minivan and a dark SUV stalking Rodriguez-Ramirez in the Walmart parking lot; however, law enforcement has not confirmed the nature of her visit there or any existing relationship with Rivera-Sanches.

She is survived by her 9-year-old daughter, whom her fiancé described as someone she “adored” and often spoke about. Although Rodriguez-Ramirez moved to Georgia from Puerto Rico in 2018, her daughter has since returned to the Island to reside with her father.

Rodriguez-Ramirez’s TikTok channel showcased her daily experiences and fitness journey, including boxing lessons and her affection for Dragon Ball Z.
