5) Serval

She becomes an AoE nuker with an ATK increase if she draws four matching tiles for her basic attack, Out With Dead Wall Tile!, which does single target quantum damage and extra AoE damage. Unfortunately, this improved basic attack does not restore a skill point, necessitating better skill point micromanagement. The lowest tile is eliminated first when two tiles do not exactly match.
Her ultimate, A Scoop of Moon, pulls two Jade Tiles, enhances her damage by a certain percentage until the end of the turn, and may be stacked up to four times.
Quinque is a reliable 4-star DPS and a potent AoE nuker when utilized properly, despite the RNG nature of her talents and damage output.
3) Yanqing
Yanqing of the Xianzhou Luofu is a 5-star gacha character suited to Ice. Because of his skills and ultimate ability to dispatch bosses with relative ease, he is a deceptively potent single-target nuker with bonus stats. His talent may also freeze adversaries, allowing you an extra round. Although his skill, Darting Ironthorn (deals Ice damage to one enemy scaling on Yanqing’s ATK), only deals mediocre damage, it applies a stack of Soulsteel Sync that boosts his Crit damage for one turn by a predetermined percentage. When I was writing this article, Honkai Star Rail had some of the best single target nukers thanks to his deceptively powerful skill.
His ultimate and skill have the potential to dramatically increase his damage and crit rate, as well as provide bonus follow-up damage to the selected enemy.
2) Himeko
Himeko of the Astral Express is a 5-star Fire unit that follows Erudition’s route and focuses mostly on AoE strikes. Her basic strike does single target Fire damage to a single adversary, scaling on her ATK, while her talent, Molten Detonation, deals Fire damage on up to three enemies at once.
All of this, however, is nothing compared to her ultimate attack, Heavenly Flare, which does Fire damage to all opponents present and replenishes 5 Energy for each adversary vanquished. When utilized properly, this talent has a tremendous amount of power and may immediately wipe out mobs. Her Talent, Victory Rush, which enables Himeko to deal with a follow-up strike as soon as an adversary suffers a Weakness Break, is also worthy of notice.
Himeko is currently the finest AoE nuker in the game.
1) Seele
In Honkai Star Rail, Seele is a 5-star single-target Quantum DPS from Belobog’s Underground. She is presently the strongest single-target DPS in the game, and for good reason: her talent (Sheathed Sword) does Quantum damage to an enemy scaling off her ATK while boosting her speed by 25% for two full turns. Her ultimate, Butterfly Flurry, improves Seele and deals selected enemies Quantum damage. Seele delivers more damage for one turn while she is Buffed.
Additionally, she can be used almost as effectively against non-quantum enemies thanks to her penetration of Quantum resistance.
Seele is a reliable DPS in all respects, with the exception of being a limited gacha unit and restricted to single targets.
On April 26, 2023, Honkai Star Rail became available on PCs and mobile devices all across the world. Later this year, a PlayStation port will be released.
