Information about Dragon’s Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2012 action role-playing game, was developed and published by Capcom in 2024. It was released on March 22, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, and was met with positive reviews from critics. In this game, players experience an immersive third-person perspective while engaging in thrilling action-packed gameplay.

As the “Arisen”, the player assumes the role of a legendary hero chosen by a dragon to defeat it. While navigating through the game’s world, the player completes quests and engages in battles against various monsters, all while being embroiled in a political struggle between two kingdoms. In order to aid in their quest, the Arisen relies on the help of “Pawns”, NPC allies who join the player’s party.

Although these characters are AI-controlled, they function similarly to player-controlled avatars by aiding in battles, offering intel on enemies, and providing guidance for active quests. Each player has the ability to create and personalize their own avatar and Pawn character, including choosing gender, appearance, and race. Furthermore, players can also enlist two extra Pawns that have been crafted by other players.
