Hailing from Florida, Jones traveled to his hometown in Georgia, where his brother organized a car meet at their parents’ business. Excitement surged as the loud Corvette became the event’s centerpiece.

Upon arrival, Stangry was asked by fellow enthusiasts to rev up his C6 so they could fully appreciate its impressive sound. Unfortunately, the intense engine noises echoed like gunshots, prompting calls to the police from concerned neighbors.

According to Jones, law enforcement arrived at the scene, specifically looking for the owner of a black Corvette, ultimately stationed outside of his family’s property waiting to apprehend him.

In a clip that rapidly gained traction on social media, Stangry disclosed how he managed to steer clear of police action. He explained, “The cops are waiting on me at the exit. There’s only one way out of this… they can’t pull me over if my car is on the back of a tow truck. So, we’re gonna put the car on the tow truck to get it out of here and not get arrested.”

He further elaborated, “They’ve all but confirmed they’re waiting to arrest me. The cops were sitting there telling me that they were waiting on the black Corvette and there were gunshots. People were calling about it… that’s who they’re arresting for ‘disturbance.’”
