Florida Man Wakeboarding During Hurricane Milton Flooding Pulled Over by Police

A group of residents in Florida became an internet sensation when they were stopped by police while enjoying a wakeboarding adventure in the flooded streets following Hurricane Milton.

On October 9, after Hurricane Milton made landfall along Florida’s Gulf Coast, numerous areas experienced significant flooding, raising concerns for public safety on the roads.

Despite the hazardous conditions and impassable streets, a few adventurous Florida men decided to take their truck out and wakeboard amidst the deluge.

A popular video shared by TikToker ‘DaRealChad’ captured the moment as Chad and his friends enjoyed the ride in the truck’s bed, with another friend holding onto an orange rope tethered to the back. The wakeboarder skillfully maneuvered through the water, creating waves as he enthusiastically rode.

“Hurricane Milton doesn’t stand a chance against us,” Chad remarked in his post.

However, their spirited adventure was interrupted when law enforcement officers arrived to pull them over. While a female officer spoke with the truck’s driver, two friends in the back exhibited looks of shock and disbelief regarding the situation.

Though their behavior warranted police intervention, many who viewed the video found the incident amusing.

“This is peak Florida! Love it!” one viewer commented.

“They looked like they were having a great time! Honestly, I wouldn’t ticket them; I’d probably just laugh,” another shared.

While several regions in Florida faced compulsory evacuation orders, some individuals chose to ride out the storm. Influencer Caroline Calloway gained attention for her dramatic post claiming she would “die” because she missed the evacuation.

Additionally, another Floridian, known as ‘Lieutenant Dan,’ stirred social media by refusing to abandon his boat, which was directly in Hurricane Milton’s path.

After his story received significant attention, Kick streamer Adin Ross pledged to give him a new boat valued at up to $100,000, along with a streaming deal for his future adventures.
