On his primary channel, videos were uploaded in which he dressed as a schoolboy, and one video even appeared to show him pursuing a real child. A dedicated subreddit has been created for true crime enthusiasts to discuss and share any potential clues regarding the identity of smartschoolboy9.
In other developments, the subreddit has shifted its attention to another possible lead: smartschoolboy9’s YouTube channel.
Numerous discussions have emerged about the account named David’s Poetry, which as of this writing has garnered 50 subscribers. Currently, it features a single video showing archival footage from London in the ‘60s, accompanied by a voiceover reciting a poem set to eerie music.
There’s also a brief video that doesn’t reveal much, as it merely shows a camera fixed on an unidentified location at night, with no audio except for what resembles white noise.
One Reddit user noted that while there were additional videos, they were likely removed due to comments concerning smartschoolboy9. Another user submitted what is claimed to be an archived video from the channel, displaying an image of a girl with the name ‘David London’ across the screen.
The audio features a piano motif alongside the narrator’s poem, which has been manipulated to sound distorted and unsettling. The Redditor also shared a screenshot of the YouTube page prior to most videos being deleted.
YouTuber @eterna has since produced their own video, claiming to be the first to discover David’s Poetry after spotting a comment from the channel on a video featuring archival footage.
“I made the significant error of posting about it on Reddit, and after doing so, he erased every video except for the latest one,” they state. “However, it’s irrelevant because I archived them.”
They believe this account is linked to smartschoolboy9 because the narrator “sounds like him, speaks like him, and writes poetry that resembles his style,”adding that the account has been active for over four years.
In conclusion, Eterna referenced a recording of an alleged conversation with the user behind the YouTube account, which they suspect to be smartschoolboy9, based on the distinctive tone of voice they recognized from prior uploads.
