Foodies unsure of gigantic $25 ballpark taco unveiled by Kansas City Royals

“The $25 “Taste of the K Taco”received mixed reviews from both MLB fans and foodies when it was announced that Kauffman Stadium would be adding it to their menu.”

The various options of ballpark food available during a baseball game is one of the limited benefits of attending. Whether it’s enjoying a cold beer and a hot dog, or munching on popcorn and sipping a soda, the food is an integral part of the game experience.

Therefore, when the Kansas City Royals Major League Baseball team revealed their newest snack, numerous fans were delighted to have an additional choice.

The upcoming addition to the menu at Kauffman Stadium will be the “Taste of the K Taco.”

This taco is far from ordinary. It consists of a hot dog, wrapped in a cheeseburger quesadilla and topped with BBQ brisket, french fries, lettuce, onion, sriracha cracker jacks, and 816 sauce.

Despite its uniqueness, each taco in the meal will come at a price of $25 for those who are interested in trying it.

The distribution of the “Taste of the K Taco”will be handled by Aramark, a food service company that received mixed reactions from some individuals.

“Unfortunately, the quality of Aramark’s food is mediocre at best,”wrote a user on X, sharing their thoughts.

Another person commented, “It seemed promising until I noticed the Aramark logo.”

Despite some baseball fans expressing excitement for the taco and believing it would be delicious, a large portion opposed its release.

One person commented that paying $25 for a stomach ache is unreasonable.

“Another person chimed in, saying, “I can’t determine if this is a moment to celebrate or avoid.”

Additional remarks were made about the taco’s poor nutritional value. “Does it include health insurance?”inquired someone.

Another person suggested that it should be renamed to “a taste of a heart attack.”

Despite receiving a combination of positive and negative feedback from both MLB fans and food enthusiasts, the $25 taco has not yet been included in the Kauffman Stadium dining guide.

Despite the ongoing debate, the monstrous taco is not the only ballpark food that has gained viral attention. In April, the Pittsburgh Pirates introduced a foot-long hot dog topped with pierogies, which was met with enthusiastic reactions from fans who deemed it “immaculate.”
