Forget the Major Order – Helldivers 2 Soldiers should not be diving into a mission when this Operation Modifier is active

Apologies to Super Earth, but it is not advisable for Helldivers to undertake a mission when the Helldivers 2 AA Defenses Operation Modifier is active, as it poses an extremely high level of danger. This is not meant to undermine democracy.

When it comes to advocating for democracy, the focus is not on the Helldivers themselves, but rather on the mission of spreading liberty to all planets infested with Automatons and Terminids. This is the primary purpose of the Major Orders and it is the reason why Helldivers sacrifice their lives continuously.

Despite the challenges you may face, nothing makes your job more difficult than the AA Defenses Operation Modifier. It can be incredibly frustrating, to the point where you may consider not completing the mission, even if a Major Order requires it.

A decrease in one Stratagem slot is caused by the AA Defenses Operation Modifier, reducing your total from four to three. This results in many players having to remove an important selection, significantly altering builds and the overall meta.

It is understandable that Super Earth (and Arrowhead Studios) had this intention in mind. However, it can be overly restrictive and may lead to frustration rather than a sense of challenge, especially at higher levels where the assistance of Pelican One is crucial.

One solution to the issue of having fewer Stratagem slots could be to impose limitations on one of the existing slots. For example, this slot could have a longer call-in time or a finite number of uses. While this would still require players to adjust their tactics, it would likely result in less frustration.

The community has expressed similar concerns, with many voicing their discontent over the implementation of the AA Defenses modifier. Suggestions have been made to allow Helldivers to regain their slot by taking down an AA objective, similar to the SEAF Artillery, while others are advocating for the modifier to be removed entirely.

In conclusion, due to the minimal benefits and significant strain on the players, these missions with AA Defense modifiers can quickly become unattainable. It is evident that a change is necessary, in the interest of fairness and equal opportunity.

For those who have been enjoying Helldivers 2 and its challenging missions for freedom, it’s important to be ready for all of the game’s adversaries. Make sure to have the optimal Terminid, Solo, or Automaton build to effectively promote democracy.
