Former BTOB Ilhoon: Current Update and Future Plans Discussed During Live Stream After Hiatus

After a four-year break, Jung Ilhoon has resurfaced with his inaugural live broadcast, sharing updates on his upcoming career endeavors with fans.

The former member of BTOB, who stepped away from the public eye in 2020, is now gearing up for renewed activities to reconnect with his devoted followers.

From October 4th to 6th, he debuted his first art exhibition titled “Tiny Ark,”located in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The pieces showcased reflect the artistic journey he embarked on during a period of self-exploration over the last few years.

On October 7th, Ilhoon warmly engaged with his fans via Instagram Live. Despite some initial shyness, the affectionate reception from viewers eased the atmosphere, allowing him to candidly express his thoughts.

When questioned whether his new passion for painting signifies a career overhaul, the artist explained that it started merely as a hobby and serves primarily as a creative spark for his music, rather than indicating a shift in profession.

Additionally, he mentioned that painting helps cultivate a positive mindset while allowing him to share his unique aesthetics and principles with others through an artistic lens.

Discussing his plans as a solo artist, Ilhoon hinted at new music set for release this year. He even left “easter eggs”related to these upcoming tracks at his art exhibition, piquing fan curiosity even more.

Fans are eagerly anticipating your triumphant return, Ilhoon!

It’s worth noting that the idol departed from BTOB in 2020 following a police investigation concerning the illicit purchase and consumption of cannabis between July 2015 and January 2019.
