On June 7th, the YouTube channel “Grazy Grace”released a video titled “Girl’s Planet 999 Contestant TAMMY Reveals the Truth Behind the Show!”. Special guest Tammy Wu shared her firsthand account of participating in a Korean survival program.
During their conversation about “Girls Planet 999” , Tammy Wu left Grazy Grace astonished when she disclosed that a single episode of filming required over 30 hours without any breaks for sleep.
Tammy Wu recalled a memorable behind-the-scenes moment when she found herself playing the role of a translator on set. As someone who could fluently speak Chinese, English, and Korean, she naturally became the go-to person for communication between the cast and crew. It was amusing because there wasn’t always a translator available, and she would often be called upon to assist with impromptu translations.
Tammy Wu disclosed that she would frequently receive requests from the production team to make announcements in Chinese, Korean, and English. She also mentioned that she was responsible for translating arguments between the contestants during the show.
She explained that she served as a translator for the fights, ensuring that she was up to date with all the drama on the show. Whenever someone needed to communicate something to another person, they would turn to her and ask, “Tammy, can you tell her this because I need to let her know?”
In regards to the cause of disputes among the participants, Tammy Wu stated that it primarily stemmed from disagreements over the distribution of song lines. She elaborated, stating that many individuals would desire the same parts, leading to arguments in front of the camera. This would often result in hurt feelings and small conflicts between the contestants. Wu also mentioned that with 99 people in the competition, it was difficult for everyone to form close friendships.
