It has been reported that former KARA member Nicole Jung sustained an injury while taking part in the Chinese singing reality show Sisters Who Makes Waves. According to a post on Weibo, Nicole was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after suffering a facial injury.
Despite initial reports, eyewitnesses assert that Nicole was able to complete her schedule despite her injury, bringing into question the circumstances surrounding her injury and the treatment she received.
According to one eyewitness:
“She arrived from Korea on the 2nd and practiced hard with dancing for 3 days in a row. She was doing a relay in the middle of the night, fell and injured her chin.”
Nicole’s injury and the events that followed sparked concern and outrage among fans. A fan even took to commenting:
“The PD and production crew are cold-blooded. Nicole Jung came all the way here to participate in the show meticulously. She’s never late, never leaves early, never causes trouble, never tries to garner sympathy.”
This latest event contributes to the show’s contentious past, which already involved a previous issue surrounding a guest who fell from a height of more than 2 meters.
The show Sisters Who Makes Waves, famous for bringing together well-known stars to undergo rigorous training and vie for a spot in a new girl group, is currently under increased scrutiny regarding its safety and treatment protocols.
Despite her ordeal, Nicole was still seen smiling at her fans with a mask and bandage on her chin in recent fan cams.
In the meantime, Nicole Jung, a member of the K-pop group Kara, is set to have her contract with DSP Media expire on Thursday. However, she will still remain with the band until February.
Nicole intends to further her education in the United States. DSP Media conveyed appreciation for her seven years with the group and requested fans to continue supporting her in her new endeavor.
Despite fans expressing concerns about the band’s future without Nicole, the label provided reassurance that there will be upcoming activities and encouraged continued support for the remaining members.
A small dispute arose after Nicole’s photo was accidentally deleted from a band photo on an app, which was attributed to an error by the app’s maintainer. DSP Media downplayed the situation, referring to it as a minor mistake.
