Former Members of FIFTY FIFTY File 300 Million Won Lawsuit, Netizens React with Disapproval

On August 27th, it was announced that Sio, Saena, and Aran had filed a lawsuit against ATTRAKT’s CEO Jeon Hong-joon, in which they requested a settlement payment of 300 million won.

This counterclaim is in response to ATTRAKT’s 13 billion won damages lawsuit, which was filed last year against the three former members, their parents, The Givers’ CEO Ahn Sung-il, and others. The former members have recently filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Court, seeking a settlement payment of 301 million won.

Fittingly, the initial court date for ATTRAKT’s 13 billion won lawsuit for damages is set for August 29th. Moreover, the 2nd generation of FIFTY FIFTY, with founding member Keena and newly added members Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana, and Athena, has declared a fresh beginning.

In addition, Sio, Saena, and Aran have recently entered into new exclusive contracts with MASSIVE E&C, a subsidiary of IOK Company. They have also revealed their intentions to commence their activities in the latter part of the year.

The three individuals had previously brought up concerns about settlements, leading them to file for an injunction to halt the enforcement of their exclusive contracts with ATTRAKT. Despite their efforts, the court ultimately sided with ATTRAKT, resulting in the dismissal of their injunction application. However, Keena, who had returned to ATTRAKT, was not included in the dismissal.

Following the receipt of her first settlement payment from ATTRAKT, Keena wasted no time in making a positive impact by generously donating 10 million won to support young adults preparing for independence. In expressing her gratitude, Keena stated, “I am incredibly grateful to all those who have given me the chance to make a meaningful contribution. My hope is that the youth facing a tough world will never lose sight of their dreams and constantly push themselves to overcome challenges.”

Netizens have responded with disapproval to the actions of the former members, stating, “Shouldn’t they prioritize addressing the damages before discussing settlements?”, “They have no sense of shame”, “How audacious”, “Are they requesting to have the damages deducted?”, “Their greed is excessive”, and “Were they envious of Keena receiving her settlement?”
