Former MrBeast Employee Claims He Turned Down $190k Payment & Apology

Jake Weddle, a former employee of MrBeast who made accusations against the creator, stated that Jimmy had contacted him to apologize and offer $190k. However, Weddle rejected the offer and made a counterproposal.

Despite remaining publicly silent since the emergence of these allegations, MrBeast has reportedly communicated with several individuals who have previously collaborated with him. Weddle is the most recent addition to the list of creators who have spoken with him.

In his video, he displayed a text featuring Jimmy that reads as follows:

“I wanted to apologize for unintentionally causing you mental stress with that video. I understand that it had an impact on you and I am sorry. I also understand that you would like to receive the remaining $190,000 of the prize money and I am willing to make amends with you.”

“I do not expect you to acknowledge my sending of this money or to remove any videos. My intention is simply to assist and ensure your well-being.”

MrBeast then inquired about his banking details in order to determine where he could transfer the money. However, Weddle stated that he did not accept the entire sum of $190k.

The apology was given in person, without any lawyers present or cameras recording. I appreciated the sincerity of the gesture and it is how I would have preferred it to happen. However, I found it difficult to handle as it is still a part of the game and connected to the prize money, which is not the main focus for me.

Although Weddle was torn, stating that he was in need of the money, he ultimately decided to have a conversation with MrBeast and agreed on a sum of $50k. This amount would allow him to cover important expenses and make an attempt at paying off his student loans.

Despite being grateful for the apology directed towards him, the former employee only accepted a sum of money that he deemed acceptable. However, he still believed that the YouTuber had a lot to answer for.

He has also criticized Jimmy’s “business model”, arguing that his approach to creating viral videos by recording individuals and incentivizing them with money to complete challenges is not conducive to their well-being.

Weddle confirmed the statement previously made by Ludwig and other content creators that Dogpack, the YouTuber who exposed many of the accusations against MrBeast, is planning to release a third video containing “even more severe allegations”against him.
