During the broadcast on July 27th, the YouTube channel “A-Class Jang Young-ran” featured Jang Young-ran, Park Seul-gi and Ha Ji-young visiting Kim Sae-rom’s house.
Reflecting on her time as a reporter, Jang Young-ran shared, “I brought you all here because we have all experienced the challenges of working in the broadcasting industry.”She further explained, “Reporters rarely have the opportunity to live their own lives. There have been times when I had to abruptly leave plans with friends because Hyunbin was shooting a commercial.”
Kim Sae-rom, Ha Ji-young, and Park Seul-gi all shared their experiences of encountering power-hungry behavior from senior celebrities while working as reporters. According to Kim Sae-rom, one senior entertainer went as far as publicly mocking her, insulting her parents, and even attempting to physically harm her during a recording. Similarly, Park Seul-gi’s manager was physically assaulted by an actor for being late to a movie shoot due to a radio live broadcast.
During the production, a staff member made shocking revelations about power abuse within the industry and also questioned, “Is there any positive story to tell?”

Upon receiving a response, Kim Sae-rom brought up actor Jo In-sung and shared, “I had the opportunity to interview him in the past. As soon as he entered, I greeted him and he politely replied with a 90-degree bow, saying ‘Hello Sae-rom’. It was a wonderful interview experience, and it was heart-warming to see how respectful and kind he was towards me as the interviewer.”
Ha Ji-young recalled her experience interviewing Jo In-sung on the day he was discharged from the military, saying, “I want to say something more about him.”She shared, “I was holding the microphone in front of a large crowd and I remember feeling nervous about what to ask first.”However, Jo In-sung put her at ease by simply asking, “How have you been?”as he lowered the microphone.
Upon learning that Ha Ji-young had been a reporter, Park Seul-gi asked her to discuss actress Kim Hye-soo, noting that the two had been close friends for quite some time.
Ha Ji-young recalled a memorable moment during her second interview in 2007, after Kim Jong-min had enlisted. She found herself craving homemade food and was surprised when Kim Hye-soo invited her to her house. Grateful, she thanked her and continued with the interview. Later, as she was leaving, Hye-soo asked for Ji-young’s phone number and even prepared a meal for her at her house.
She went on to say, “Not only did she attend my performance, but Senior Hye-soo also purchased two-thirds of the seats for the entire month. This allowed her acquaintances to come and see the show whenever they pleased.”
