Former World Champion Calls Out Jake Paul’s Motives Before Mike Tyson Fight

Johnny Nelson, a former cruiserweight world champion, has accused Jake Paul of “purchasing victories”in preparation for his upcoming bout against Mike Tyson in the summer.

On July 20, in Arlington, Texas, Paul and Tyson will face off in the ring. Despite a 30 year age difference, ‘Iron Mike’ is stepping into the fight well past his prime years.

Despite the fact that Tyson’s last professional fight was almost 20 years ago in 2005, Nelson has raised doubts about Paul’s choice of opponents who are past their prime. Nelson believes this is a deliberate strategy from ‘The Problem Child’.

Did you witness Jake Paul’s victory over Anderson Silva? Considering the Anderson Silva we are familiar with, do you believe Jake Paul could have achieved the same result? It’s safe to say that if it were the younger version of Silva, at the height of his career, Jake Paul would not have been able to defeat him.

“Once again, he has acquired a scalp in the form of Mike Tyson. As someone we deeply admire and recognize for his incredible dominance in the heavyweight division, we are fully aware of Mike’s accomplishments. Jake Paul has indeed purchased a valuable victory.”

“Tyson, if he’s solely motivated by money, then go ahead and pursue it. But if there are other factors at play, I advise against it. Don’t do it, man.”

In all honesty, if your sole motivation is to make money, it suggests that you are willing to risk being betrayed and disregarded. It doesn’t matter what consequences may arise, as long as you receive a payment of $50 million. Even at the age of 57, you are willing to fight for that sum of money.

“If he chooses to continue down that path and it brings him comfort, that is his decision. However, I must warn him that if he experiences a major defeat, it will leave a lasting impact on his life. No amount of money, even $50 million, will be able to erase that.”

“Mike Tyson is older than his father, but he is the same age as me. Despite this, he is still purchasing a scalp, which is something I dislike seeing, but it is inevitable. I can only hope that Tyson will defeat his opponent with a knockout, although I have doubts about that outcome.”

At the age of 57, Tyson will be facing off against 27-year-old Paul on July 20th. The highly anticipated match will be available to stream live on Netflix, and will be held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which is also the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.

A highly coveted VIP ticket package, worth $2 million, has been announced before going on sale to the public on Thursday, May 16 at 12pm ET.

Despite differing opinions within the boxing community, the fight remains a topic of controversy. Tyson Fury has expressed his belief that the bout will be beneficial for the sport, while Eddie Hearn, the promoter for Anthony Joshua, has labeled it a “freak show.”

Despite the excitement surrounding the fight, there are valid concerns about the 30-year age difference between the two fighters. Some have expressed fears that Tyson could sustain serious injuries during the bout.

Despite concerns about Tyson’s health, his trainer Rafael Cordeiro reassures that the 57-year-old is in excellent condition.
