The Doom Armor in Fortnite has seen a boost in its spawn rate, yet numerous players have reported experiencing bugs when using it.
In Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 4, the Doom Armor stands out as a unique weapon for this season. To acquire it, players must venture to the Isle of Doom and interact with the Doom Cauldron—assuming they survive the journey.
Initially, the Doom Armor had a spawn rate of only 5-10%, making it incredibly rare, but with Epic Games’ recent increase in spawn rates, more players finally have the chance to experience this armor in-game. Unfortunately, many players have described it as a buggy experience, as shown in a Reddit discussion.
The thread titled “I actually quit at this point” features a user who shared a video of their experience using the Doom Armor during a match. At first glance, everything appeared normal; the player was caught in a crossfire and, naturally, activated the Doom Armor’s abilities to launch counterattacks.

However, problems arose when they tried to dive towards the enemy after briefly floating in the air. Instead of landing properly, the character became stuck in an animation, rendering them completely immobile.
Ultimately, they met their demise before they could retaliate. Many players expressed sympathy in the comments, with some noting that this is a recurring issue among various bugs.
One user remarked, “I’ve encountered that same bug when you don’t land on a flat surface and you never actually hit the ground. It’s happened multiple times. F***ing Epic.”
Another player mentioned a different glitch where the beam attack would become lodged in a continuous state, resulting in the “beam shooting out of you forever,” while disabling all other attacks. “Such bs,” they lamented.
A different commenter added, “I have played so many games, and I’ve never properly been able to utilize the Doom Armor. I feel so sorry for you, OP. This was devastating.”
Although the Armor of Doom is now seen more frequently than before, significant issues remain unaddressed, affecting players’ overall enjoyment.
