New Points of Interest in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
Presented below are the latest points of interest (POI) locations for Chapter 5 Season 3:
- Nitrodrome
- Redline Rig
- Brutal Beachhead
- Sandy Steppes
Nitrodrome
Head to the Nitrodome with your car to fly over ramps and put on a show.
The Nitrodrome, a newly added POI location this season, is situated at the heart of the wasteland and serves as its own chaotic arena. It is also the home of the Ringmaster Scarr NPC, who acts as the master of ceremonies for the car circus spectacle known as the Nitrodrome.
By defeating the boss, you can acquire her Medallion, which provides infinite ammo and a slight damage boost. Additionally, you can also obtain her modified car and a legendary Boom Bolt weapon.
Redline Rig
The Redline Rig is where the newly introduced Nitro fuel is being made.
Redline Rig, which serves as the Wasteland Warrior’s mechanic extraordinaire, is located to the west of the Brawler’s Battleground POI that was introduced in Chapter 5 Season 2. This Nitro refinery is the perfect place to fulfill all of your vehicle needs, with The Machinist NPC hard at work within its walls.
To obtain her Medallion that replenishes your Shield gradually, as well as her modified vehicle and a legendary Combat Assault Rifle, eliminate the NPC.
Brutal Beachhead
You won’t be able to miss Brutal Beachhead’s massive shark head entrance.
The headquarters of the Wasteland Warriors, Brutal Beachhead, is situated at the bottom southwest corner of the island on the map. It is home to their formidable leader, NPC Megalo Don.
Defeat him in order to acquire his Medallion, which will grant you infinite Nitro. You will also gain access to his modified SUV and a legendary weapon known as Nitro Fists. Be cautious, as his anger can quickly manifest itself.
Sandy Steppes
Sandy Steppes has been moved further away from the island’s edge by piling tones of sand around it.
The popular location of Snooty Steppes has undergone a full transformation for the current season. As part of this change, Epic has renamed the area to Sandy Steppes. The once peaceful seaside village has now become a bustling desert town, with the surrounding buildings now buried under layers of sand.
Although there was speculation among fans that it would be named ‘Shady Sands’ in line with Fallout’s collaboration with Fortnite this season, this is not the case.
The recently added POIs are located next to each other in the southern area of the map. Epic has eliminated multiple notable landmarks, with the most significant being the popular Fencing Fields spot.
Changes to the Map in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Update 30.10
Fortnite’s latest update, 30.10, has brought some changes to the island. The most notable one being the replacement of the regular Loot Island with the Metallica Loot Island and the addition of Jam Statues. These updates have given the island a refreshed look.
Metallica Loot Island
The Metallica Loot Island has replaced the normal Loot Island.
Similar to previous instances, the Metallica-themed floating island will continue to appear randomly at a location on the map during the middle of your matches.
After it appears, the Metallica Loot Island logo will be visible on your map, making it easy to locate. The island showcases larger-than-life versions of the band’s members performing on a central stage, which you must conquer in order to acquire the loot.
In addition to the usual weapons and items, players can now also obtain the new Ride the Lightning mythic guitar. Exploring under the island will lead to a secret underground area, where approaching the “Cliff ‘Em All”wall will grant them 10,000 XP.
Jam Statues
Jam Statues are scattered around the Battle Royale island.
In addition, Jam Statues can be found throughout the island. These seven statues allow you to begin a jam session and trigger an Encore Session. While you can still jam with your team and even your opponents, these statues can also help you complete specific Metallica quests.
These locations are primarily situated at notable points of interest on the island, including The Underworld, Lavish Lair, Mount Olympus, and Pleasant Piazza. Additionally, there are three landmark locations scattered throughout the Wasteland.
Ride the Lightning Guitar Stands
Ride the Lightning Guitar stands can be found at several main POI locations.
There are 8 guitar stands scattered throughout the Battle Royale island, each housing the mythic Ride the Lightning guitar. We have listed all of their locations for players to easily find and acquire the guitar during their matches.
Stark Industries Beacon
A Stark Industries Beacon has appeared nearby the Reckless Railways POI.
The Stark Industries Beacon is located southwest of Reckless Railways. It cannot be interacted with, but instead, it mysteriously points towards the Reckless Railways POI. Many players in the community speculate that this could be a hint at an upcoming collaboration with Marvel.
Pirate Outpost
A fishing port has strangely been turned into a pirate outpost.
A pirate outpost has emerged in the middle of the map, completely transforming the fishing port in the process. The port, which previously sat northeast of the Nitrodome arena and southeast of Restored Reels, is now fully decked out in pirate fashion.
This indicates that the long-awaited Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration will likely be released during Chapter 5, although the exact date is still unknown.

Meowscles’ house demolished
Meowscles’ house has been removed from the map.
The popular location known as Meowscles’ house on the Battle Royale map has been entirely removed by Epic after the 30.20 update. Previously situated on the hill just south of the pirate outpost lake, it has now been replaced by a campfire location.
