Finally, Fortnite has officially announced that Chapter 5 Season 4 will feature an abundance of Marvel characters, along with the opportunity for players to explore iconic locations from the comics through new POIs.
The Absolute Doom season in Fortnite brings about multiple map changes, as well as the removal of several locations.
New Points of Interest in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4
Castle Doom
The season will focus on Doom getting Pandora’s Box powers.
The official trailer for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 hinted at Castle Doom as one of the primary areas. It is anticipated that Dr. Doom will be introduced as a new Boss NPC this season, requiring players to make a trip to his location.
Despite not knowing the exact location of the POI, we anticipate it to be situated east of Classy Courts on the map. This assumption is supported by the trailer’s footage, which reveals the presence of Mount Olympus’ colossal statue in the background.
Latveria
Latveria is home to Dr. Doom and his Doombots.
According to Marvel lore, Latveria is a fictional country governed by Dr. Doom. Official footage has revealed that it will be situated near Castle Doom on the map for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. It appears that Latveria will take the place of Classy Courts on the map.
In addition, we anticipate the inclusion of an NPC and Story Quests for players to engage in during the Absolute Doom season at the location.
The Raft
The iconic Marvel prison might be a key component of the new storyline.
The Raft, a maximum security prison commonly featured in Marvel stories, including Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, will also make an appearance on the map. In the official trailer, Dr. Doom can be seen breaking Mysterio out of The Raft, suggesting that it will be a location for NPCs.
The Raft includes a variety of interior sections and open spaces for players to discover. The preview also displays helicopters near the facility, suggesting that the Choppa vehicle will be making a comeback in the upcoming season. Although the location has not been disclosed by Epic, it is likely that the Raft will be situated in the southwest section of the map.
Removed locations in Absolute Doom
It is anticipated that Lavish Lair, Classy Courts, Sandy Steppes, and Brutal Beachhead will be removed from the Fortnite map in Chapter 5 Season 4. A teaser of the updated map was posted by Epic Games on social media, revealing a green fog covering these areas.

Despite players’ expectations for the upcoming Marvel-themed season to include additional themed POIs, it appears that The Underworld and Mount Olympus will remain for the new season. There is also speculation that Nitrodrome will continue to exist in the transition to Chapter 5 Season 4, although it is unclear if any alterations will be made to the location.
