Collaboration skins in Fortnite are particularly exclusive and highly sought after.
This is why there was considerable excitement when the Silk Sonic outfits featuring Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak returned after a two-year absence. The set includes almost all the original items but notably lacks two key elements: the Freedom Wheels and Leave The Door Open dance emotes.
Upon noticing the absence of these popular emotes, players began to speculate on the reasons behind this decision. Most concluded that the new LEGO Fortnite mode might be responsible.
Since the introduction of this official game mode, Epic has ensured that nearly all outfits and emotes can be used within LEGO Fortnite. However, there still remain numerous cosmetics that are unavailable in the LEGO version, including the beloved Silk Sonic emotes. This led players to believe that Epic chose to exclude these dance moves from the reintroduced cosmetic set because they are not yet compatible with LEGO Fortnite.

If this assumption holds true, Epic’s strategy to accommodate LEGO Fortnite players may have inadvertently backfired. As one Reddit user highlighted, delaying the release of popular cosmetics due to their lack of support in LEGO Fortnite only fosters player resentment towards that mode.
Many other users echoed this sentiment, with one player stating that Chapter 5 has come to embody the phrase “No one asked for this.”They went on to list a variety of actions taken by Epic that fans have found disappointing, including the omission of these emotes.
Despite this cosmetic controversy, Fortnite is introducing a new Ranked Reload mode on September 24, which will provide players the opportunity to earn the free Felina ranked skin.
