Fortnite Community Outraged as Reload Leaves Solo Players Behind

The recent launch of Fortnite Reload has sparked criticism from the community towards Epic Games for introducing yet another squad-only game mode, leaving solo players with limited options.

The fan base has been loving Fortnite Reload, which brings back the nostalgic vibes of early Chapter 2 while introducing a new game mode, challenges, quests, and rewards.

Despite the undeniable success of Fortnite Reload, many players believe that Epic could enhance the game by providing additional queue options for the mode.

At present, the sole method of participating in Fortnite Reload is by joining squads, which offers the choice of playing with “fill”or “no fill”options. Nevertheless, in a scenario with four-player squads, it is advisable to have teammates, even if they are strangers.

Many community members turned to Reddit to express their dissatisfaction with Fortnite’s emphasis on squads in most of the game modes they introduce.

The poster expressed frustration with the lack of solo game modes in which they could enjoy without playing with random players or young children. They stated a desire to play game modes designed for four people, but unfortunately did not have a full squad of friends to play with due to them quitting the game.

Additional comments in response to the initial Reddit post also expressed agreement with the overall sentiment and questioned why a widely popular mode like Fortnite Reload had not been released to a larger audience.

According to one commenter, the issue is not that they lack friends, but rather that they and their friends are all adults with conflicting schedules. It is highly unlikely that all four adults would have a free window of 1-2 hours at the same time.

Despite the challenge of incorporating solos into the game, it is important to consider that the mode heavily relies on unlimited reboots.

This indicates that as long as at least one member of the squad remains alive, you have the ability to continuously get rebooted until the end of the game when reboots are disabled. However, Solos does not function properly with Reload’s current format.

Another commenter suggested that the game could include a solo mode with a respawn token system. The player would start with 5 tokens and once they are used, they cannot be replenished. When there are only 5 players remaining, the respawn tokens would no longer be available and players would not be able to respawn.

According to leaked information, additional squad types, such as Trios and Duos, are in the works for Fortnite Reload. However, it is speculated that it may take some time for them to be implemented.
