In a move that has both improved and frustrated the Fortnite community, the recent increase in XP cap for Creative mode has sparked conversations about leveling challenges in Battle Royale. As the game journeys through Chapter 6, players have expressed concern over the slower progression rates in this beloved mode, leading to a growing dialogue between Epic Games and its user base.
Chapter 6 introduced several changes, including a controversial XP nerf which significantly impacted progression across different modes. While previous updates allowed players to earn daily challenges for each mode, the new system unifies these challenges, creating a more streamlined, yet contentious experience.
In response to community feedback, Epic Games made notable adjustments. A recent update on December 4 now permits players to accrue up to 4,000,000 playtime XP per week in LEGO, Fortnite OG, and Reload modes. This move has been largely welcomed within those communities.
Creative Mode XP Cap Increased Following Community Feedback
As highlighted by ItsADAMO_, the latest update from Epic Games has significantly raised the XP cap for Creative mode to an impressive four million weekly, as confirmed by Fortnite player JimGrindsXP.
While many players celebrate this swift adjustment, a substantial portion of the community—particularly those invested in Battle Royale—continues to express dissatisfaction. Since the onset of Chapter 6, players have reported dramatic slowdowns in leveling speeds compared to previous seasons. Some have even voiced their frustrations online, with one player noting, “I played 4 hours today and gained 3 levels. This is garbage,” as shared on a Reddit thread.
Many in the Battle Royale community are advocating for the introduction of playtime XP similar to what Creative mode now enjoys. This could potentially ease the prolonged leveling issues that have become prevalent since the nerf. However, as of now, Epic Games has not addressed these specific leveling concerns, nor announced any forthcoming XP enhancements for Battle Royale.
As players express hope that the positive changes for LEGO, OG, and Reload modes might eventually be extended to the more popular Battle Royale experience, the community remains vigilant and engaged, urging Epic to prioritize their concerns.
