In August, Fortnite will receive an update in all modes, which will also feature the debut of Season 5 for Fortnite Festival, along with a brand new headliner.

Meanwhile, as Battle Royale and Zero Builds enthusiasts are consumed with excitement over the Marvel collaboration and the controversy surrounding Captain Jonesy’s skin, attendees of the Fortnite Festival can enjoy the newest season 5 addition: Karol G as the headliner.

The Latin GRAMMY winner, who has won five times, is featured in the Fortnite Festival battle pass and is also the star of the game’s first-ever playable concert. The complete patch notes for Fortnite Festival Season 5 can be found below.

Karol G’s Playable Concert in Fortnite

The playable concert of Karol G will start on Friday, August 23 at 3 PM ET and will be accessible until 12 PM ET on August 26, 2024.

During the event, gather EmPower-Ups to eliminate negative energy and groove, ride waves, and speed through her vibrant world. The event can be accessed through Fortnite’s Discover screen, where you can join forces with three other players and earn the Bichota 4-String Bass upon completion of the concert.

Keep the party going on the Main Stage or Battle Stage with Karol G tunes after the main event. Earn the Love, Karol G Loading Screen and a Karol G Banner Icon by completing the Karol G Quests, available starting from August 23 at 3 PM ET.

In order to advance through the pass and receive rewards from both the free and Premium Reward Tracks, participate in the Season 5 Fortnite Festival Quests and earn Festival Points.

In the complimentary option, you have the opportunity to showcase the Keyluxe Keytar, offered in Gold, Iridescent, and Starlight. It is the ultimate prize among other well-known Lobby Tracks, such as “Keep Poppin’,””Orbital Overload,”and “Way Too Fast.”Additionally, claim the Constellation Aura to radiate and the Heads Up Emote to display your musical talents.

For those willing to spend more, the Premium Reward Track can be purchased for 1,800 V-Bucks. This grants instant access to the Bichota Season Karol G Outfit, as well as the opportunity to earn the Bichota Mic and Bichota 6-String Guitar as the final reward by progressing through the track.

General bug fixes and improvements

Listed below are the overall bug fixes and enhancements for Fornite Festival Season 5.

General improvements

  • The pause menu now includes the options to “Restart”and “Replay”.
  • Updates to Music Library: You now have the option to archive Jam Tracks, freeing up space and removing them from your “Jam Loops” wheel.
  • Jam Track Quests can be viewed to see which Jam Tracks have associated Quests.
  • Sorting Daily Quests by Festival Experience: The organization of Daily Quests is based on the Festival experience in which they can be completed.
  • In Battle Stage Private Matches, players can choose a different song without having to exit the match.
  • Haptic Feedback: Implemented a new feature, “Vibration for Hitting Notes”, that enables a vibration pulse for each note hit.
  • The Lefty Flip setting, which reverses the lane order in the note highway, is now accessible for all song parts.
  • The starting area of the Jam Stage has been expanded to provide players with more space upon spawning.

Battle Stage User Interface Updates

  • The results screen now displays the difficulty selections of your opponents. This information is also visible in a private match backstage.
  • Improved Score Multiplier Visibility: The score multiplier of your targeted opponent is now more visible, allowing you to better time your attacks and determine if you have interrupted their note streak.
  • Overdrive Target Indicator: The indicator for when your Overdrive will not attack any opponents is now more prominent when you are in the leading position.
  • The placement display has been enhanced to include a 30-second warning before the battle ends, identify players in danger of being eliminated, and improve visibility of opponents utilizing Overdrive or being attacked.
