Fortnite Hotfix: War Machine Fuel Reduction and Major Nerfs

One of the mobility items in Fortnite, introduced during Chapter 5 Season 4, has recently undergone significant nerfs.

In addition to adding new weapons, Fortnite is also known for introducing new mobility items into the game. In the previous season, the Mythic Cars were introduced, and now, in Chapter 5 of Season 4, players have the opportunity to obtain the newly added War Machine Hover Jets.

The War Machine Hover Jets not only enable you to hover in the air, but they also have the capability to propel you forward, making it effortless to maneuver between various points of interest.

Despite being a popular addition at first, due to its powerful combination and the way players abused it by shooting from above, Epic promptly implemented balancing changes.

According to popular Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, the Hover Jets will undergo a few changes as mentioned in their recent post on X. These changes include using a greater amount of fuel for boosting, a slightly longer boost duration, and a decrease in boosting speed. Furthermore, players will now have limited use of the boost.

Despite still being able to pick up the Hover Jets and move around the map, they will not provide as much boost in the air as they used to.

Expect to recharge more frequently on the ground once you’ve depleted your fuel, as boosting will increase your consumption.

Despite the presence of Shockwave Grenades, Flowberry Fizz, and launch pads in the game, players always have the option to choose from a variety of alternatives when it comes to mobility.

Additionally, not only were the War Machine Hover Jets nerfed, but modifications were also made to Captain America’s Shield and War Machine’s Arsenal in order to maintain balance within the game.

Furthermore, there has been a decrease in the spawn rates of specific items and weapons in Chapter 5, Season 4. This change has not been well received by the community.
