Fortnite Leak: Introducing a New Sniper to Combat the Frustrating Vehicle Meta in Chapter 5 Season 3

With the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, vehicles have become almost unbeatable. However, recent leaks suggest that a new Sniper Rifle may be introduced to balance their overpowering presence.

The new update in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has transformed vehicles into a huge threat with the addition of powerful vehicle mods such as bulletproof tires and machine gun turrets, courtesy of Epic Games.

Although firing a mounted weapon from a modified vehicle and easily defeating your enemies adds excitement to the gameplay, players have voiced their discontent with being targeted by these turrets. This is due to the nearly impossible task of surviving an attack while on foot.

Despite the presence of other weapons on the island, none are as effective against the vehicles in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 as the Nitro Fists. But according to dataminers, there may be hope with the release of a Sniper Rifle that could serve as the perfect counter to these powerful cars.

According to ‘AllyJax_’, this weapon is expected to have the ability to inflict 3x damage to vehicles and a magazine capacity of one round. However, specific details such as the overall damage and headshot damage remain undisclosed.

The exact date of release for the new Sniper Rifle in Fortnite has yet to be confirmed, and dataminers have also speculated that certain attachments, such as the Drum Mag which allows for a larger magazine capacity, will not be included for this weapon.

Despite the fact that Snipers were vaulted in this season, there were rumors that the Heavy Sniper would be brought back. However, it appears that this is not true as the new weapon’s projectiles are named “HeavySniper”.

In addition to the vehicle attachments, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 also introduced the T-60 Power Armor skin and Nuka-Cola from the Fallout Series, as well as new NPCs and POIs on the island for players to discover.
