Fortnite is set to launch a new Marvel live event, rumored to coincide with this year’s Fortnitemares festivities. Here’s everything we know so far.
The current Chapter 5 Season 4 has passed its midpoint, bringing players closer to the upcoming content patch v31.30 scheduled for October 1. This Fortnite update is anticipated to feature theme content related to this year’s Fortnitemares, a collaboration with The Incredibles, and the next set of lore-based quests for the season.
Furthermore, the introduction of Part 6 Marvel quests suggests that a confrontation between Hope and Doom is imminent, possibly before the current season wraps up in November.
In the Day of Doom limited-time mode (LTM), players will choose between Doom’s Henchmen or the Avengers to thwart Doom from reclaiming Pandora’s Box Artifacts. When he succeeds in acquiring these artifacts and unleashes his ultimate form, the anticipated live event will commence, and here’s what we currently know about it.
Fortnite Marvel Mini Live Event Date
According to notable data miner HYPEX, a Mini-Event is on the horizon for the ongoing Absolute Doom season, aligned with the forthcoming update v31.30. While the update launches on October 1st, the live event is slated for Saturday, October 5, 2024.

This information was corroborated by another leaker, Rezztro, who revealed that the Day of Doom LTM and Doom’s Island on the Battle Royale (BR) map will be deactivated on October 5th, as indicated by the Fortnite Blog.
Additionally, the mini-live event is expected to kick off this year’s Fortnitemares, which may include collaborations with the Saw franchise and introduce a new boss on the island.
What Will Happen in the Live Event?
The Part 6 Absolute Doom Story Quests provide insight into how Doom is closing in on the island and the preparations Hope must undertake to confront him. Initially, loopers must defeat Emma Frost on the island and utilize Forecast Towers.

Hope expresses her apprehension about facing Doom, citing a prophecy from the Oracle which suggests that she “might” win the battle. Despite her fear, she is determined to attempt to stop Doom before he gains dominance over the island.
