Fortnite Offers Free Emote by Mistake with Support-A-Creator Code

Fortnite players recently received a complimentary emote due to an unintentional error from Epic Games involving a Support-A-Creator code.

While Fortnite is a free-to-play game, the real excitement comes from purchasing exclusive Battle Pass skins, such as Doctor Doom and other Marvel characters available this season. Players often enjoy custom outfits beyond the standard skins and classic emotes.

Though September isn’t typically a month associated with giveaways, Epic Games surprised the community by releasing a free emote.

Between July 27 and August 12, anyone using a Support-A-Creator code in the shop inadvertently received the emote. Instead of retracting it, Epic decided to officially give it to everyone.

The new emote showcases a pancake drizzled with syrup, which, while simple, has been appreciated by the Fortnite community on Reddit. Many players view it as a thoughtful gesture from Epic Games.

One user remarked, “We often criticize Epic, but compared to other gaming companies, they maintain a surprising amount of integrity.”

Another user added, “I completely agree! It’s not extravagant, but given the greed prevalent in the gaming industry today, it’s refreshing to see initiatives like this.”

Epic also featured the emote prominently in a slider on the home screen, ensuring that players wouldn’t overlook it. “Without that, I’m sure many would have complained about missing the free emote,” a player stated.

Despite its numerous updates, Fortnite continues to keep its community engaged and entertained. In Chapter 5 Season 4, players are enjoying humorous interactions with the Gwenpool NPC.
