A player has proven that the invisibility medallion in Fortnite is not as “useless”as it is perceived by the community.
The start of Chapter 5 Season 4 introduced three additional medallions to Fortnite, including the Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion. When this item is discovered and collected, the player will gain the ability to turn invisible while crouching, making it difficult for their opponents to detect them in battle.
Despite the Season 4 launch, there are still some who remain unconvinced of the stealth medallion’s effectiveness. The invisibility medallion has been criticized by players for not providing a true sense of invisibility, earning it the nickname of the “most useless”item.
Despite ongoing discussions within the community about its usefulness, one individual has confirmed that the medallion does come in handy occasionally.
A Reddit user shared a video of themselves evading an opponent who had War Machine’s Auto Turret equipped. The noteworthy aspect of the turret is its ability to automatically target and shoot at enemies.
However, as the Reddit user turned a corner and activated Fortnite’s invisibility medallion, the turret was unable to detect them. The enemy simply walked by the concealed player, and the War Machine turret remained oblivious as always.

As the opponent has chosen to play as Toph, a character who is blind in the show Avatar, the Reddit thread is now full of jokes questioning the significance of this choice.
Despite differing opinions in the comments, some argue that Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion does have practical uses. It was pointed out that the medallion is particularly useful for reviving squadmates, as some players have taken to crouching while invisible on top of the Reboot Van.
“The potential of that medallion is only unlocked in the hands of a skilled user. Unfortunately, most people are unaware of its true power,”another person chimed in.
Some also noted that it has a miraculous effect “if you are able to climb a tree.”
Due to the fact that only one medallion appears in each match, the sole method of obtaining this specific item is through eliminating Mysterio or taking it from another player who possesses it. The scarcity of the medallion will inevitably lead to ongoing discussions among players regarding its usefulness in battle.
