Fortnite Players Blast Captain America Shield as Game’s Most Bugged Weapon

Many Fortnite players have referred to Captain America’s shield as the “most bugged” weapon in the game due to the multiple problems it has caused.

Upon the release of Chapter 5 Season 4, Epic Games introduced Captain America’s shield as a new weapon. Its dual functionality as both an offensive and defensive tool quickly earned it the reputation of being overpowered.

As a result, a patch was released by developers to decrease its spawn rates, lower its initial damage output, and nerf the stagger threshold. However, this has not resolved the issue with the weapon, as reported by disgruntled Fortnite players.

Shortly after the nerf was implemented, Ultraskee, a Fortnite player and Reddit user, shared a video of their experience using Captain America’s shield. In the footage, they can be seen using the shield to defend against long-range gunfire.

Despite its supposed protective abilities, the shield proved to be inadequate as the enemy’s bullets easily tore through the Mythic, resulting in the Redditor’s demise within a matter of seconds.

This player was not the only one experiencing frustration. According to one comment, this same issue occurs “every single time”they attempt to block with their shield.

Another person shared that they also lost a match in the same manner, even after crouching down to avoid their feet being targeted out of fear.

Despite its popularity, the Captain America shield has been deemed the “most bugged weapon”in Fortnite by some players due to its inconsistent performance.

The potential problem could be attributed to the weapon’s hitbox, which appears to be inconsistent. This is not a new issue, as the ballistic shield has also faced similar difficulties in the past.

Another individual commented, stating, “The hitbox for the shield is currently not functioning correctly. I recently lost a match because someone was able to hit me with a regular striker, and the same thing happened to me as well.”

Given that Epic developers consistently make adjustments to the weaponry in Fortnite, gamers are anticipating a solution for the Mythic based on Marvel to be implemented in the near future.
