Fortnite players crown one Medallion as most useless in Chapter 5 Season 4

The Medallion introduced in Chapter 5 Season 4 has received criticism from Fortnite players due to its numerous limitations.

In Fortnite’s Battle Royale, there are multiple strategies that can assist you, even if you are playing alone. Along with enlisting NPCs, utilizing Medallions is a viable method for navigating the final circle, as they provide varying advantages depending on the one you choose.

At present, Chapter 5 Season 4 offers players three different Medallions to obtain. Despite this, the Mysterio Medallion is not a popular choice among many players.

In a discussion on a popular social media platform, a user strongly criticized the Mysterio Medallion, branding it as “completely worthless.”They went on to explain that the Mythic item only provides invisibility while crouching, making it one of the most useless ones of all time.

The Mysterio Medallion is outclassed by others according to Fortnite players.

According to their statement, the issue with this Medallion is that it does not provide true invisibility in the game as it is not comparable to real invisibility. Additionally, it restricts the ability to make quick movements while crouching and has a time limit for remaining hidden.

The most frustrating aspect is that, similar to any other Medallion, when picking it up, the map reveals your location’s radius to other players, completely defeating the purpose of being stealthy or invisible.

Several other individuals in the comments also concurred with this interpretation of the Mysterio Medallion in Fortnite.

“A user pointed out that Cap’s shield’s aim assist still works even when they are invisible. If you notice them disappear, simply throw the shield in their general direction and it will likely hit them about 9 out of 10 times.”

“I attempted to be stealthy and move to another bush while invisible, but I ended up getting eliminated by someone who was 80 meters away,”recounted another user.

Several players have also noted that despite becoming invisible with the Mysterio Medallion, the Thermal Scope can still detect you. This also holds true for the Reveal Medallion used by Emma Frost, as you will still be marked while invisible, making other Medallions a more advantageous choice overall.
